Guli Dolev-Hashiloni

Guli Dolev-Hashiloni started his academic journey at the age of 14, completing a BA degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Open University of Israel. Afterwards, he went on pursuing an MA in Contemporary Politics of the Middle East at Haifa University.

Guli is currently involved in various cinema-related activities, such as Off Screen Film Magazine and Solidarity Tel-Aviv Human Rights Film Festival. Before he moved to Berlin, he worked in the media as well as in refugee aid organisations, yet his true professional expertise is making coffee.

Upon joining the Global History program, Guli seeks to acquire strong research skills in order to explore questions of nativeness, diasporization and social change. His interest lies primarily in the Horn of Africa, in Jewish History, and in the places where historical narratives and political deeds meet.
