For those planning to apply for a higher semester entry in the Summer Semester, it is important to know, that there is no guarantee that spots will be open, this depends on availability and we do not any numbers in advance.

The application period is open between 1.12.2025 and 15.01.2026. 

To apply, you need to

1) be eligible for the program, and
2) provide proof of at least 10-15 ECTS credits completed in another master's program that can be credited towards the Global History Master. For example, this could be if you are a Master's student of History or Asian Studies. In essence, you will need to provide evidence of relevant MA courses equivalent to one semester's workload.

Since the introductory module and the informal introductory week are only offered in the winter semester, students should enroll in these courses during the winter semester. We strongly recommend that you take advantage of the student advisory services in April to help you choose courses, get oriented, and organize your credits.
