The application period for the 2025/26 Winter Semester is now closed. The application period for the 2026/27 Winter Semester will open in April 2026.

Please note, entry to the course begins with the first semester in the winter semester each year. If you wish to apply for entry into the course in a higher semester, please email us at globalhistory@fu-berlin.de. You can only start the course in the summer semester under certain conditions and we recommend that you discuss your circumstances with us before you apply for the summer semester.

Please refrain from enquiries about the status of your application. Notifications on acceptance or refusal can be expected by the end of July the earliest.
