Hi, my name is Zura and I come from Georgia. I have a background in international relations and political science, having graduated from Jacobs University Bremen in 2023. My research interests include the study of democratization and the rise of nationalism, especially in Eastern European contexts. I decided to enroll in the MA Global History program to further my understanding of these topics by applying existing theories and frameworks that view these developments both through a global and a regional lens. I am excited to learn more by utilizing the wide range of courses both in the FU and HU, something which I believe is a unique opportunity for international students like myself.
