Zou Junhan
Zou Junhan (Joyce) received her bachelor's degree from King's College London, majoring in history and minoring in English. She worked on her dissertation with Dr Reza Zia-Ebrahimi on state islamophobia and body politics towards Chinese Muslim women in the Republican era, which looks at an intersection of gender, nationalism, Islamophobia and the transnational linkages between China and the Middle East in periodicals. In the global history programme, she wishes to deepen her knowledge of colonial history and gender studies in Southeast Asia. More specifically, she is interested in exploring how colonial projects such as plantations influence the relationship between the environment and human bodies.
