Having completing her BA in History and IR in Istanbul Bilgi University, her main interest is intellectual history of the late 18th and 19th century in a comparative perspective of Ottoman Empire and Imperial Germany. In the context of “the long 19th century” she ask how moralities/ethical systems of the societies have been modeled and what their sources were. How did the Ottoman intellectuals come to grips with various political languages? The ambivalent characteristics of the socio-political morality which is still present in Turkey triggered her to ask these questions. She thinks it’s almost impossible to find a flat in Berlin and she hates Techno.
