Willem van Geel graduated magna cum laude from University College Utrecht in 2014, where he studied Liberal Arts & Sciences. He specialized in history, philosophy and international relations and extensively researched and wrote about the German-U.S. rivalry in Latin America before the First World War. He continues this transnational perspective during his studies in Global History in Berlin. Willem is fascinated by concepts of exceptionalism and tries to work his passion for comics into his historical writing.
