For the last six years I have been working as research curator for Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow. From 2012-15 I partly lived in New York and from 2006-07 in Tokyo. I have developed projects with commercial as well non-profit art organizations including exhibitions, commissions and publications. Working with both historical and contemporary material, I have sought to make connections between Russian and international art practitioners, particularly with emerging artists. The Global History program is a great opportunity for me as a curator to shift my focus from visual art to exploring and evaluating the premises of multiple concepts and problems of our world today. The Free University is well-known for its liberal and progressive education and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to be part of this master's program.
