Tobias completed a BA in European Studies and Political Science and second in History at the University of Oslo, Norway. He went on exchange to Munich. Tobias has also been an intern in the Norwegian embassy in Berlin, working with political and economic affairs. 

Tobias` research interests include German-Norwegian relations as well as the relationship, similarities and differences between the Western world and Asia from the early modern period onwards.
