Theresa Feißt

Theresa is originally from the Black Forest area in southwestern Germany. She received her undergraduate degree in Modern History and Sociology from the Albert-Ludwigs-University in Freiburg. Theresa came to the Global History Program to deepen her knowledge in areas such as Colonial History, the History of Decolonization in the 20th Century, Empire and Intellectual History. Furthermore, she is also interested in the History of European Integration, on which she wrote her Bachelor’s thesis. The Global History Program is a great opportunity for her to combine her understanding and interest of both, History and Sociology, due to the cross-interdisciplinary approaches of this promising new research field. During several longer stays abroad in Ireland, the Caribbean and Central America she broadened and professionalized her language skills in English, French and Spanish. After finishing her Bachelor in Freiburg, she completed two longer internships in the fields of political education and the conceptualization of exhibitions. She is looking forward to two exciting years at FU and HU Berlin!
