Tania holds a BA in Asian and African Studies from Saint Petersburg State University, specializing in East African Culture and Languages. During her undergraduate studies, she spent three months in Western Kenya working at a rural secondary school. Born in Israel, raised in Russia and having worked in Italy, China, Mongolia, Kenya and Finland, she moved to Berlin for the MA in Global History. She intends to study East African history in the context of global events from a non-Eurocentric perspective in order to arrive to a better understanding of the region's present.
