Born and raised in far northern Canada by an Iraqi-German mother and an Anglo-Scottish father, Susannah Morrison graduated summa cum laude in history from Brigham Young University in April 2019. In the course of her undergraduate degree, she studied on exchange at Pembroke College, Cambridge, studied abroad in Israel, and completed an internship as a researcher and editor at the Riga Ghetto and Latvian Holocaust Museum. She specialises in 20th century Jewish and Soviet history, but maintains a lively satellite interest in the history of the modern Middle East as well. She chose the MA in Global History to allow her to simultaneously pursue these many passions while taking full advantage of life in a great global city
