Shaul graduated from the Department of History at Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 2016. He wishes to write his Master’s thesis on the cultural relations between Europe and the world during the Late Middle Ages and the Early Modern period. Specifically, he is interested in the European imaginations of the world and of the ‘Others.’ He hopes that the Global History program will provide a methodological basis for such inter-cultural and trans-continental study, even in the period before globalization.
