Peder Østebø holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies (2014) from the University of Oslo, and came to Berlin to widen his understanding of modern and contemporary history.  Born and raised in the windy, rainy terrains of Western Norway, Peder was drawn towards warmer shores and eventually became obsessed with Latin American politics and society, a field in which he worked for several years prior to joining the Global History Master Program. Other academic interests include the history of democratization, migration and social conflict.
