I’m from Prague, Czechia, where I recently finished my Bachelor's degree in Area Studies at Charles University. I also spent a year-long Erasmus stay at Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey. Although my studies didn’t have a specific regional focus, I developed an interest in historical memory and the role of media in history—subjects that continue to engage me today. I have experience working in private media as well as the non-profit sector, and in my future studies, I hope to broaden my understanding of modern history, especially in relation to colonialism, transitional justice, and memory.

Outside of university, I enjoy going on walks, hitchhiking, swimming in rivers, reading, learning German, bouldering, cooking, listening to music, and visiting galleries. I’ve always loved listening to stories, which may be what drew me to history in the first place. While I recognize certain limitations within the field of Global History, I also see great value in its aim to create a history that transcends borders, seeking connections and similarities rather than divisions.
