Martha completed her undergraduate degree in International Relations and History at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she focused her study on feminist and anti-imperialist critiques of world order. Her dissertation explored the response of the GDR to the human rights crisis in Chile in the 1970s. After teaching English for a year in a quiet German town, Martha decided to move back to a big city to pursue her love of history. Although she misses the greenery, culture and fried chicken shops of south London, she is excited to further her study on the MA Global History program.
