Marisa graduated in 2017 from Northeastern University with a bachelor’s degree in History and Asian Studies. Her undergraduate thesis was a comparative history of early Republican Istanbul and Ankara, with a focus on architecture and the semiotics of public space throughout the process of nation-building. Currently, she is interested in urban history and global history as a multidisciplinary, international methodology.
