I'm Louis, I live in Berlin since 2016 and work here as a courier. I studied my bachelors in history at the University of Sussex. I wrote my bachelors thesis on the Palestinian nationalist movement in the 1970's and it's representation in Palestinian cinema. Apart from this, my main focus within history is labour history, specifically the history of workers movements within Europe throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. In terms of approaches to history, throughout my bachelors I was mainly interested in the work of the Marxist historians from Britain and the Subaltern historians. Through studying Global History at FU I hope to expand my knowledge further geographically outside of Europe.
