Leonie Scodh Kalkreuter-Walshe
Hi I am Leo, a student from the Scottish Borders who studied History and Archaeology at the University of Glasgow. During my time in Glasgow I studied a lot of Scottish history/archaeology, although, in my last year, I focused more on the Mediterranean, and Western Asia. Additionally, I also became more interested in studying and becoming a part of the shifting narrative towards colonial history, and the current movement attempting to address and ultimately subvert (if that is possible) the Eurocentric nature of historical narrative generally, especially within the field of global history.
I wanted to take this masters because of its emphasis on colonialism in global processes, the variety of elective courses you can take, and the ability to specify regionally, as I would like to delve into more Western Asian/Middle Eastern history.
