Lara graduated from the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena in 2017 with a BA in History and Indogermanistik. Her interest lies mostly in Early Modern History and her Bachelor’s thesis focused on “global” objects in the curiosity cabinet of Archduke Ferdinand II of Tyrol.

She hopes the Global History MA program will deepen her understanding of global connections in Early Modern times and challenge her with new insights and ideas not only in lectures and seminars but also in the contact with dedicated students with different interests and backgrounds from all over the world.
