Knut Egil Aure Nilsen
A native of Norway, Knut Egil earned his BA in History from the University of Oslo, with a thesis on the US response to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982. While studying in Oslo, he also worked part-time in Journalism with various publications. An exchange semester at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, US made Knut Egil interested in pursuing a full degree abroad. Having studied German for a year, and being interested in the History of International Relations, as well as Diplomatic and Political History, he found his perfect fit in the MA Global History. Knut Egil is eager to discover a new city and country, while deepening his knowledge of the global connections of political movements and conflicts.
