Lukas earned his BA in History and Political Science at TU Darmstadt, while also studying in Seoul for a year. He gained experience in understanding political processes through several positions within the Young Greens and by working as an assistant for a member of the Landtag in Hessen.

His research interests include migration, environmental history, mobility and transport, history of rural areas, intercultural perceptions, international relations and entanglements between Europe and East Asia. He chose the MA Global History because he wants to learn about connecting local contexts to the global sphere and feels like the programme provides an ideal environment to expand his language skills.
