I am pursuing a regional focus on East Asia though the MA Global History. After completing the first two years of my bachelor degree in history in Strasbourg, France, I went to study in Seoul, South Korea, where I have developed a strong interest in the decolonial and postcolonial history of the area in the 20th century. My main areas of research are a) migrations and formation of diasporas decolonial and postcolonial contexts, b) reformation of national identities, emergence of new paradigms and borders following the collapse of empires, and their following consequences on current geopolitical issues. I chose to study the MA of Global History at the Freie Universität for its progressive and liberal education, as I consider it to be a great opportunity in developing essential skills in researching the area.
