Johan Bolding Rasmussen holds a B.A in Intellectual History and Germanic Philology from the University Aarhus in Denmark.

He is currently pursuing the joint M.A in Global History due to both an interest in exploring the theoretical framework of the discipline, as well as the possibility of researching a specific geographical area. He is interested in the intellectual connections and exchanges in culture, literarature, philosophy, and politics between Africa and Europe. Through the combination of a stronger theorectial perspective and the area specialisation he hopes this can help in developing a greater understanding of the past, present and future, both in a global context, as well as the African and European.
