Giulia completed her history BA at the University of Bologna in 2016. Her Bachelor’s thesis was about how German civil society influenced the reconciliation process between today’s Namibia and Germany, focusing on the official recognition of the Herero and Nama genocide. During the MA in Global History she would like to deepen her understanding of present power relations across the world, engaging in colonial history and memory studies.
