Gias Uddin

Gias Uddin holds a BA as well as a MA in history from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He worked as a guest teacher at the university for a year, where he focused on the history of Bengal, for which he was awarded a first for a paper on the effect of the British attack on Bengal in 1757. During his stay as a guest teacher he was introduced to a number of prominent South Asian historians. He then went on to work as a historian in Dhaka, Rajshi and West Bengal. In 2014 he joined the MA Global History program at Freie Universität Berlin in order to pursue his love for South and South East Asian History. In addition to his studies he plans on working on archaeological history in Bengal from antiquity to the middle ages.
