Frederik Schröer

Frederik Schröer, originally from Germany, graduated as Magister Philosophiae (s.c.l.) in Tibetology & Buddhology, Indology as well as Sinology from the University of Vienna, Austria. In his thesis, he dealt with the interplay of colonialism and nationalism in the first half of the 20th century comparatively between India, Tibet and China. Through the M.A. Global History, Frederik hopes to put his background in area studies into a broader context, with special emphasis on entanglements and the history of concepts. He currently works at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development.
