Evan was born and raised in Dallas, Texas before attending university at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Upon earning his B.A. in History modified with German Studies, he decided to continue pursuing his interests in history and German culture by coming to the program in Global History in Berlin. While still undecided on his major areas of research, Evan is interested in how the rise of nationalism reshaped global ways of being as well as the effects of transnational religious belonging on the construction of identity. In addition to pursuing his historical interests, Evan also looks forward to wandering deeper into the maze of the German language, experiencing the diverse and interesting cultures that reside in Berlin, and meeting his fellow students of history from across the globe.
