Emine Yesilyuz

Hello! I'm Emine Yesilyuz, a recent History graduate (2022) from Istanbul now residing in Berlin. My academic journey is fueled by a deep interest in cultural heritage and identities prompting me to explore various facets of global history.

Adding a hands-on touch to my studies, I participated in a month-long archaeological project in Istanbul in collaboration with the German Archaeological Institute. This practical experience provided valuable insights into the tangible aspects of historical research, particularly within the context of cultural heritage.

Beyond my academic pursuits, I enjoy expressing my creativity through crocheting and painting. Additionally, I like playing games although my skills are not on the same level as my enthusiasm.

I'm particularly excited about the potential of global history in unraveling the layers of cultural heritage and identity. The intersection of diverse historical narratives, societal dynamics, and cultural exchanges offers a rich tapestry from which to draw insights into the evolution and preservation of cultural identity. As I navigate this intellectual journey, I am eager to uncover the intricate connections that link the past to our contemporary understanding of cultural heritage.
