Daniel Stephen Burgess
Daniel graduated from Princeton University in 2023 with a B.A. in History cum laude and a Certificate in German Language and Culture.
His undergraduate thesis examined the role of missionaries in German colonialism in Africa, and he now aims to expand his knowledge of the approaches to Global History through an M.A. at Humboldt University and Freie Universität Berlin on a DAAD scholarship. His research interests focus on the contemporary, social, and economic history of Germany in a global context, with particular attention to the Cold War and the German Democratic Republic.
Originally from Atlanta, USA, Daniel enjoys writing short fiction and perfecting his peach cobbler recipe in his free time.
