Cory Jones read History at the University of Bristol in the UK. In his BA, Cory's interests were largely centered on ethno-national relations and the treatment of minorities or 'the underclasses', taking units on Jewish History, Apartheid, War Crimes and inter-disciplinary approaches to Race and Identity, for example. For the sake of variety however, Cory decided to focus his thesis on Anglo-German diplomatic relations during the process of German re-unification. For his thesis, Cory travelled to Germany to undertake archival research which inspired his decision to come to Berlin to continue his education, and he looks forward to moving beyond the elitism and euro-centrism of traditional history.
