Hi, I am Chiang Kaichieh. I am from Taiwan and graduated from National Taiwan Normal University with a degree in East Asian Studies. My primary research interests are in maritime history and the colonial history of the East Asian region. In addition, I also have an interest in 19th-century travel history and have published a short research paper on a visit of the 19th-century German art collector Adolf Fischer to Formosa in the Historical Taiwan Journal（歷史臺灣）. To further explore history within a global context, I have come to Berlin to pursue my studies in Global History, aiming to delve deeper into the field.
