Carlos received his Bachelor's degree in History from the Ibero-American University (UIA), in Mexico City, where he graduated with honours. He focused his studies on cultural history of Early and Late Modern Europe, as well as theories of the historical discourse. During his BA, he was able to study at the University of Hull, UK, and the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, which broadened his perspective on historiographical stances and debates. He also worked for a number of years as a teacher of Mexican and World History in his home city.
By joining the Global History programme, Carlos aims to explore local histories through the global interconnections and entanglements that shaped them.
