Carla received her undergraduate training at the University of California, Santa Cruz (B.A., 2013). Her research interests include intellectual history, the era of "New Imperialism" in the Philippines during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and the history of the Spanish empire in the Philippines. Now in Berlin, Carla finds the Global History MA program's dedication to explore various trajectories of cross-border entanglements across the globe both a unique approach and pertinent for her intellectual training.
