Before joining the Global History program, Britton studied History and International Studies at American University in Washington, DC, and later Nationalism Studies at Central European University in Vienna. Britton’s research centers on the intersections of comparative and transnational histories of gender, conflict and genocide, nationalism, marginalized communities, and the history of science and technology.
