My name is Linn Blomkvist and I come from Norway. My professional background is journalism, and I studied journalism at Concordia University in Montreal before pursuing a bachelors degree in Middle East studies and Arabic language at the University of Oslo. Before moving to Berlin I spent my time between Oslo and various locations in the Middle East, mostly in Amman where I studied Arabic. My research interests include mass violence and genocide, politics of memory and narrative, Orientalism and post-colonialism, and I've specifically focused on Syria, Lebanon and Palestine.
