After studying photography and pursuing photojournalism in my home country for some years, I realized my real passion was for the more theoretical aspects and academic discussions of social change. Subsequently I did my BA degree in history and linguistics in Hamburg. My points of interest are the history of modernity since the 19th century in its global scale as well as the cultural history of the 20th century.
