Andra studied History and Sociology at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. They were primarily concerned with the history of the body (Körpergeschichte) and the creation of ‘abnormal’ bodies within racial, colonial, and hetero-patriarchal regimes. For the Global History programme, they wish to develop their knowledge in the study of intersexuality in the medieval and early modern context, understanding how the non-female and non-male formed (and continue to form) the Other of Western gender and racial normativity.

Spending their free time with singing, Andra hopes to trace and tell the (hi)stories of people's voices who have been and contiune to be silenced.
