The Global History MA was an invaluable experience that opened my world, professionally and personally. The incredible value and flexibility of the program offered me the opportunity to discover myself, my values, and passion, all the while receiving a high quality education in one of Europe's most affordable and lively capitals. Thanks to the Global History MA, I was able to intern at the US Embassy, and embark on a path which has led me to become a professional in the international development and non-profit space. While I did not end up staying in academia, the program gave me the professional tools to become an educated and informed critical thinker, and to see the world and its people outside of the traditional nation-state framework. The lessons learned through the program have served me time and time again, along with the lifelong connections and friendships I made in Berlin. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity afforded to me by Freie Universität Berlin through the Global History MA, and I highly recommend the program for anyone interested in geopolitics, history, and development.
