Clark graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in African & African American Studies. He has worked as a journalist for the last 5 years, picking up writing during the Ferguson uprising in 2014--the protest movement that brought Black Lives Matter to an international audience. His research at the intersections of race, class, and housing is inspired from his upbringing in one of the most segregated cities in the US. Pursuing a degree in Global History will hopefully allow this work to be expanded and challenged beyond the confines of an American centered analysis
