Josefine majored in History and minored in English during her undergraduate studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She had the opportunity to study abroad at UCLA for the academic year 2018/2019. Participating in the University of California Education Abroad Program was an incredibly valuable experience – both personally and academically. Josefine is particularly interested in US and Korean history, and hopes to deepen her understanding of these historical fields in the M.A. Global History. Her interest in Korean history was sparked when she traveled to Seoul for the first time in 2016. Josefine started working for the Incoming Team of the International Department at HU this August. She is incredibly grateful for her job since it provides her with the chance to support exchange students at HU. She is looking forward to the next two years in the Global History Program.
