Aaron Cody is an American who is proud to have lived more of his life outside the United States than in it. Having lived in Paris, Hong Kong, Nanjing, Shanghai and now Berlin, he likes to consider himself a global citizen. This nomadic upbringing and his studies related to South Asia, East Asia and the Middle East helped him infinitely as he taught both US and World history in China over the last six years. All these factors and more have shaped his interest in the various ways that China and India have impacted South East Asia and more importantly for this course, how this can viewed globally.
