Jeannette holds a Bachelor’s degree in North American Studies from the Freie Universität Berlin. She aspires to a career in a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering democracy and intercultural understanding in Germany. Considering awareness and knowledge of one’s own country’s history highly important and valuable in the context of the search for effective solutions to contemporary societal problems, Jeannette decided to enroll in the Global History Master’s program. She highly values the global history approach’s move beyond the nation-state framework. Jeannette’s focus is on 20th-century European, and more specifically German, history.
